SNFCC Members | Off the Premises: Exploring urban gardens and their history.

In May, the SNFCC Members, as part of the cycle of visits to urban gardens in Athens, will visit the Gryllis Water Lilies Botanical Park in Marathon. 

At a time when access to green spaces is diminishing, visiting the capital’s gardens offers an opportunity to raise awareness and connect with nature. 

Gardens offer a protected alternative environment within the urban fabric, bringing humans in contact with nature, architectural design, science,

culture and art, and constituting a breath of fresh air and civilization in the heart of the modern-day city.
